Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to you all !! This post comes to you courtesy of my shiny new present from my mother and father - a fab new lap top - yes I am a spoilt only child !!! In honour of my present I can type a post in the comfort of my armchair sat next to the woodburner all cosy and warm.

I have spent most of the day playing 'My Dog's got fleas' and reading books to my daughter and trying not to panic as she learns to skate on her Fifi fun skates - my mother says its karma as I used to have a tractor that I used to ride down the garden path towards the steps hell for leather and then veer off at the last minute so she says it serves me right !!!!

However, this is an allotment blog so here are some pictures of the Christmas harvest. I went to visit my mam and dad, my mother isnt very well so has had a miserable Christmas - get well soon ! on the way home I popped into the allotment to see if there was anything for dinner and was lucky enought to have some carrots and some sprouts.

The potatoes are the ones that my daughter and I planted back in September in black buckets and put into the greenhouse - not the largest haul in the world but the taste was fanatstic I was very proud of haul of fresh veg in the deep mid winter.
